The city of Guangzhou, north-west of Hong Kong has been labelled the ninth most expensive city to live in.
As of 2020 there were around 18,676,605 people living in Guangzhou, which is deemed a dominating financial centre in the Asia-Pacific region.
Alongside Shanghai and Beijing, the city has one of the most expensive real estate markets in China.
